Travel, 5 tips to save money
If you are thinking about your next summer holidays and you want to save money, you will have to make some sacrifices and, we would like to warn you from the beginning, they will certainly not be pleasant but will allow you not to miss any opportunity without emptying your wallet!

That said, being able to put something aside will be one of the most rewarding aspects of this experience and will make you discover that your journey is already half in your hands.

Nothing compares to sitting on a plane, ready to take off for the journey you have dreamed of so much, knowing that it is all thanks to your commitment.

Now let's not waste any more time and let's get to the important facts:

1 Set your goal

When you want to save money, it is essential to establish a goal.
To make things easier, divide your goal by the number of months (or weeks) left before departure. For example, if your trip will be in August and you have 5 months left with a budget of 1500 euros you will have to save 300 euros per month, or 10 euros a day if it's easier for you to focus.
Parcelling out your goal will make it seem more affordable. Moreover, you will have a precise idea of how much to set aside each time you receive your salary.

2 Secure your savings

Open an online savings account that credits interest and give it a meaningful name, such as 'Relax, don't touch!'.
Make your regular account balance equal to a round digit by transferring the excess to your savings account. Do you remember your 10 euros? It's time to put them in your account. But if that sounds too high, go to '3'!

3 A piggy bank is what you need!

In addition to opening a savings account, as mentioned above, get used to putting coins in a piggy bank. Every day remember to put all your coins inside your piggy.
The ones to break are definitely the best, because they can hold back your temptations better :)
If you do not have a piggy bank you can buy it on our online shop or you can come and visit us to our store, we have many of them in different shapes and colours.

4 Put a post-it note on your temptations

Sticking a note to your credit card that says 'Do you want to go on a vacation, yes or no?' Will make you feel guilty every time you want to spend unnecessary expenses: after reading the message you will think twice before using the card.
An excellent solution is also to make a daily summary of the expenses made, it will certainly help you to check your expenses and maybe think about it.

5 Sell things you don’t use

Getting rid of the things you no longer need is an excellent way to earn a few extra euros.
Start by looking in your basement, under the stairs or in the attic for all those items you no longer use, check that they are functional and in excellent condition, give them a dusting and then take them to us at Mercato delle Occasioni. A good 30% of your travels will surely come from selling products in our store.
